(LYB) as the President of the Management Board and Chief Executive Officer of Basell Orlen Polyolefins Sp. z o.o. (BOP).<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Before joining BOP, Joost Verploeg worked for over 20 years at LYB, where he held positions in general management, business, marketing, supply chain, procurement, energy and feedstock both in Europe, as well as in the Middle East. Most recently he served as a member of the management board of joint ventures specializing in the production of polyolefins. In this capacity, he was a member of the BOP Supervisory Board from 2022 to 2025. Prior to joining LYB Joost worked in several disciplines in the fields of process engineering, sales, and project management.<\/p>\n<p>Joost Verploeg is a graduate of Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands, where he studied mechanical engineering.
